Ole Olsen (baseball)

Arthur Ole Olsen (September 12, 1894 – September 12, 1980) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played two seasons with the Detroit Tigers in 1922 and 1923. Born in South Norwalk, Connecticut, Ole Olsen debuted with the Tigers in 1922, appearing in 37 games—15 as a starter and 22 as a reliever. He had a record of 7-6 with 5 complete games with a 4.53 earned run average. In 1923, he played in 17 games, only 2 as a starter, and had a record of 1-1 with an earned run average of 6.31. The Tigers' manager during Ole Olsen's time with the team was Ty Cobb.
Olsen graduated from Cornell University. He lived in Norwalk, Connecticut and Rowayton, Connecticut his whole life. He loved to fish, swim and boat. He died in 1980 on his 86th birthday in Norwalk, Connecticut.
